EBTE Opening

Alupar announces the startup of EBTE – Empresa Brasileira de Trasmissão de Energia S.A, consisting of the transmission lines, Juína-Maggi, double circuit, with 215 km length, connecting new Juína substation to Maggi substation; transmission line Maggi-Juba, double circuit, with 232 km length, starting in Maggi substation and ending in Juba substation; transmission line Maggi-Parecis, double circuit, with 106 km length, starting in Maggi substation and ending in the new Parecis substation and the transmission line Nova Mutum-Sorriso-Sinop, simple circuit, with 222 km length, linking the substations of Nova Mutum, Sorriso and Sinop. The project belongs to EATE (51%), a subsidiary of Alupar, and CEMIG (49%).

With the startup of this new line, Alupar Group has 14 operating companies, totaling 4,366.5 km long, and 4 more transmission systems under construction, scheduled to be operational between 2011 and 2012.

The work started in 2009 created jobs and development to the state of Mato Grosso.
